St. John Beaches Cinnamon Bay

Cinnamon Bay

Cinnamon Bay

Cinnamon Bay, at about 1 mile, is the National Park's longest beach. This great beach offers snorkeling, swimming, volleyball and more. A watersports concession stand rents windsurfing equipment, kayaks and mountain bikes. There is good snorkeling around Cinnamon Bay Cay, a short swim from shore. The clear waters will tempt you to spend your time swimming and snorkeling, while the palm trees will call you to spread your beach blanket in the shade and relax. Across from the beach and campground entrance/parking area is a Hiking Trail through the Cinnamon Bay Plantation ruins.

Favorite Beach

Best beach for reading / people watching.

Deepest sand of any St John beach I saw, and convenient driving, and good facilities.

Cinnamon Bay

It’s a beautiful beach with a long shore line so nice for taking a walk to enjoy the view. The shore was white sand and in the water it is also sandy. Crystal clear water and pretty calm. Got a spot under a tree for some shade. Snorkeling was particularly cool as there were a lot of tiny fish – basically a wall of small fish; so many that at times it was hard to see through or passed them. There were also larger reef fish, some of which were eating the tiny ones! Also saw a sting ray. Some nice coral and sea fans too. The restaurant at the campground was good for grabbing lunch. It’s a little bit of a walk from the shore, short walk.

de Cinnamon Bay, mon...

Wonderful Beach all around & easy to get there - when it doesnt rain! Best @ Sunset because the water is still warm, you will have one of the best beach/sunset views on the planet, drive-in guests are gone & campground guests are herded into the restaurant. When crowded, walk from the parking lot to the end of the dirt road, hang a right and walk for about 1/3 mile. You will have no shade but your own piece of beach. Enjoy!

Cinnamon Beach

Go early - another beach that can be crowded from cruise ship dropoffs. But definately worth seeing.
