St. John Beaches Lameshur Bay

Lameshur Bay

Lameshur Bay

There are two Lameshur Bays; Little Lameshur and Great Lameshur. Little Lameshur is a protected sand and rubble beach separated from Great Lameshur by Yawzi Point. The bays are offer scenic shorelines and good snorkeling. Somewhat isolated due to the long drive required to get there the bays are often sparsely populated.

Little Lameshur

The beach was beautiful, nice white sand along the shore. In the water there were some rocks but they were smooth. Good snorkeling. There were some trees for shade, but other trees were a type with thorns so watch out for those. It was a hot day and the water was terrifically refreshing – calm, clear and wonderful.
