The view from the beach is stunning, the view from the water back toward to beach is tropical bliss.

The powder sand beaches are soft on your feet--no coral or urchins in the swimming area.

The beach area is long, not wide, so get there early to nab a good spot.

We went last spring with our teenaged kids and all four of us played in the water for three hours, just swimming and surfing the waves.

Not a place where you'd plan to go for a 'beach day'. You can rent a dinghy here from Noah's Little Arks or hang out at the Beach Bar, etc. There are always lots of boats along the shore line - rental boats, etc. The 'people ferry' docks here. It's a fun place to watch people coming and going. Our son likes to splash around in the water there while we grab lunch/drinks at the Beach Bar occasionally.

We were not disappointed. It's a hike over a rocky path, there's really no beach - and literally minimal sand, but once in the water, the snorkeling is fabulous. We saw schools of blue tang, Sargent majors, grunts, etc. Not just 10 or 15 - but 60 to 100. I've never seen so many! We saw a rather large (IMHO) barracuda. The coral was bright and healthy - I perhaps this beach doesn't get many tourists as it's not an easy place to reach - nor does it have easy water access. But it you want to see incredible underwater scenery - you want to go to Leinster Bay. Then drive over to Coral Bay for pizza at the Donkey Diner - or a great burger at Skinny Legs. It's a perfect Island day.

The shore was white sand and in the water it is also sandy. Crystal clear water and pretty calm. Got a spot under a tree for some shade. Snorkeling was particularly cool as there were a lot of tiny fish – basically a wall of small fish; so many that at times it was hard to see through or passed them. There were also larger reef fish, some of which were eating the tiny ones! Also saw a sting ray. Some nice coral and sea fans too. The restaurant at the campground was good for grabbing lunch. It’s a little bit of a walk from the shore, short walk.

It was so clear that sitting on the shore I could see a stingray swim by in the water. Awesome water clarity. Shore was soft white sand. Found a shady spot under the seagrape trees along the shore; they were a little low to the ground but sufficient. Shore was nice and long for taking a walk. In the water it’s all sandy so again nice for walking in the water or just wading. The snorkeling trail was neat, followed along the left side of the little island in the bay. The coral wasn’t healthy but some nice soft corals and sea fans. Saw some schools of parrotfish and some other fish, a few squid, large schools of tiny fish and a turtle and sting ray in the bay. Grabbed a burger and drink at the food shack a short distance from the shore – it was all tasty and good. Great day on a beautiful beach!
