Caravelle Hotel & Casino is open and accommodating emergency and relief workers. On April 30, 2018, the hotel will close to repair damage caused by Hurricane Maria and will re-open on September 1, 2018. The casino and Rumrunners Restaurant will remain open throughout the repairs. Club Comanche Hotel St. Croix
Club Comanche Hotel St. Croix reopened on September 26, 2017. Guests may contact reservations at 888-406-8030.
Cottages by the Sea
No part of Cottages by the Sea needs to be rebuilt; however, there are repairs and cleanup to be made. The property is waiting for electricity and water to be restored. Guests may assume that all future reservations after October 1, 2017, are secure unless advised otherwise. The property will contact guests if future reservations cannot be accommodated.
Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino
Updated: October 19. After a review of the damage to Divi Carina Bay, resort management has made the decision to reopen in May 2018, pending construction or supply delays. Please contact the resort via email at EC@divicarina.com for reservations booked directly on the website or by phone. Divi will reach out to travelers with the earliest arrival dates first. For reservations booked through a third-party provider, please contact them directly to cancel the reservation and determine their cancellation policy.
Please note: Divi Carina Bay Casino will reopen mid-December.

The Fred made it through the recent hurricanes relatively unscathed. The planned opening date of December 1, 2017, has been delayed. Once power has been restored to Frederiksted the hotel is set to open its doors to relief workers but since the pool, restaurant and bar are significantly delayed, the hotel will not be prepared to accept regular guests until sometime after January 1, 2018. The Fred will provide updates related to the revised opening date as information becomes available. Hotel on the Cay
Updated December 14: Hotel on Hotel on the Cay is pleased to welcome everyone including tourists, relief workers and timeshare guests as of December 1. Kindly note that in addition to daytime restoration work expected through January, there is currently no pool access, and the independently-operated beach restaurant and bar are closed until further notice. The property appreciates your understanding as it makes the hotel even better. For visitors who wish to make a NEW reservation: please note that guest rooms are very limited through April 2018. Hotel on the Cay suggests booking early to avoid disappointment.
Palms at Pelican Cove
The hotel is closed until further notice. Assessment is continuing with a view to recovery and eventual reopening. Emails may be sent to email@example.com but due to inconsistent Internet connectivity, the property cannot guarantee how quickly customers will receive a response.
Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa
Updated November 3: The property will be accepting reservations from April 1, 2018. All cancellations will be waived through March 31, 2018. Guests may have up to one year to rebook from their original arrival date at the same rate.
Sand Castle on the Beach

Concordia Eco Resort
Concordia Eco Resort is closed for the remainder of 2017 and 2018. When communications have resumed, the resort’s reservations team will contact travelers to refund deposits.
Updated November 6: Electricity has been restored (full AC, as well as refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, and the pool is full and inviting), the landscaping is bouncing back with new growth and flowering bushes, and the resort is fully open. During the week of November 5, 2017, the property is providing accommodations to relief workers, as well as leisure travelers and homeowners inspecting and repairing their damaged properties. Gallows Point Resort
The property fared relatively well and is currently being used to house relief personnel. There is a working generator and management plans to be open for guests by Thanksgiving and fully operational by Christmas Eve. Guests who previously booked reservations during this time may reschedule or cancel their trip without penalty before December 15, 2017. As soon as the property’s phone lines and internet access are restored, the hotel will be reaching out to guests individually regarding reservations.
Grande Bay Resort
Updated December 15: Almost all of Grande Bay Resort’s 35 privately owned units are accepting reservations for January 2018 onward.
The Residence Club suites are under repair and renovation. Currently Residence Club reservations through January 12, 2018 are cancelled and refunds processed. Please note this policy applies to Grande Bay Resort & Residence Club guests only.
Hotel Cruz Bay (Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel)
The property has been housing relief workers but also has vacancies for leisure guests. The hotel has power and complimentary Wi-Fi. Westin St. John Resort & Villas
Updated December 21: Due to the significant impact of Hurricane Irma, the recovery process for the Island of St. John and The Westin St. John Resort & Villas is on-going. The Resort will be closed until further notice. All reservations with scheduled arrivals through January 3, 2019 have been cancelled and no new reservations are being accepted at this time. The Resort will publicize any updates as they arise.
At Home in the Tropics Bed & Breakfast Inn

Bellavista Bed & Breakfast
Updated December 18: The property is welcoming guests and all amenities are available with the exception of cable TV. Reservations can be made online through our website at www.bellavista-bnb.com.
The property is housing guests in need and a multitude of workers trying to help others on St. Thomas. Anticipated re-opening date is June 2018.
Bluebeard’s Castle Resort
The property has sustained major damage, which is currently being assessed.
Blue Sandcastle Villas
Updated November 7: The luxury villas in the Blue Sandcastle Villas portfolio are open to host leisure guests as well as relief workers. This includes: The Blue Sandcastle, Pavilions & Pools Villa, Villa Odeon, Salty Sway, and 20 additional properties, all of which have electricity and water. Emerald Beach Resort
The hotel has experienced cosmetic damage, and its phone and Internet systems have been down, but all major structures are okay. All guests have been evacuated and Emerald Beach is currently housing FEMA and other hurricane relief workers. The property will not be taking hotel guests until mid-November. Information will be shared as it becomes available.
Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort
Updated November 29: The resort is closed until December 31, 2018.
The Green Iguana
The hotel suffered damage as a result of Hurricane Irma and currently is not open for guests. As the damage is assessed and the property undergoes repairs, the property hopes to announce a reopening date soon. Guests who have reservations through December 31, 2017 and have not been contacted should call the office. Internet and telephone service are operational.
Island Dream Vacations
Updated November 8: Villa Viento, a luxurious 5 bedroom/5.5 bath on the Peterborg Peninsula of St. Thomas, has all amenities available and will be ready to accommodate leisure guests around mid-January 2018. Condo rentals at Sapphire Beach Resort will be available when power is restored to the property. The three condominium rentals at Cowpet Bay East Resort will be unavailable until Summer 2018. Updated December 6: Located in Frenchtown, this 16-room property is open for leisure guests. Most repairs are complete, the hotel has working phone service, and power is being restored during the week of December 4, 2017. Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas
Updated November 29: Due to the recent hurricanes, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is temporarily not accepting new reservations. Efforts are underway to restore operations as quickly as possible. Sapphire Beach Resort Condominiums
Updated November 7: The resort is need of power restoration and is in the process of clean-up and other rehabilitation. Pending the return of electricity, the property may be able to welcome guests around Thanksgiving.
Secret Harbour Beach Resort
Updated October 16: Without phone service or power (other than a generator), the resort is closed to stayover guests, but is currently housing some first response personnel. The resort is carrying out repairs and plans to reopen in full as soon as power and phone service are restored. Power restoration is estimated to occur in November. Secret Harbour’s restaurant is currently open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the dive shop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sugar Bay Resort & Spa

Updated November 10: Windward Passage Hotel, located downtown with a view of Charlotte Amalie Harbor, has rooms available for Small Business Administration and other recovery and relief groups, and business owners. All rooms feature free hearty Continental Breakfast in the Courtyard, power, water, Wi-Fi, and mini refrigerators. Rooms with air conditioning are based on availability. The restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner, however there are restaurants open within walking distance. The bar will be opening soon! Virgin Islands Campground
Updated November 14: No part of the Virgin Islands Campground needs to be rebuilt, however cleaning up and minor repairs are an ongoing process. We reopened our doors on October 14 to relief workers and tourists. The two beach bars located on Honeymoon Beach (Heidi’s and Dingy’s) are open, the ferry is running a full schedule (excluding the 9pm option is not available at this time) and 28 linesmen from the United States are working on restoring power to Water Island. Cruise ship tours are coming to Water Island’s Honeymoon Beach almost daily. Until power is restored, we have 2-18KW generators to power the entire facility. Conditions on Water Island and the Virgin Islands Campground are most definitely “enjoyable” at this time.
