Maybe, hopefully, possibly we'll see y'all there! If not, I hope it's because there isn't enough room. Besides, The Thirsty Donkey is the defending champ (thanks Jonathan Calhoun!)

For right now this is as close as it gets to St John for us. This benefit, Hit Makers & Rum Chasers is raising money for several children’s organizations on the island. Big shout out to Erin Hart from IslandGirlMusic who opened the show and got an immediate encore! ... See MoreSee Less

I always tell my kids to "make interesting choices." This year Kathy and I followed my own advice and we sold or gave away most everything we owned and moved to Coral Bay to pursue a lifelong dream of owning a restaurant/bar on the water on St. John. Despite having to adjust to the island way of life, battling homesickness, learning to run a new business, and a whole bunch of other things, we had a blast! We made so many great friends both on the island and a bunch of wonderful folks who were visiting, served some great food, listened to great music and in general absolutely fulfilled our dream. We refuse to let Irma and Maria (or FEMA and the SBA for that matter) turn the dream to a nightmare. So, we plan on returning in 2018. In spite of probate and property ownership issues we definitely believe that we will be serving cold drinks, great food and hot music again soon. Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and good wishes this past year! Sharon & Zach, Andy & Carol, One-Eyed Mark, Katherine & Louie, Adie & Steve, Johnny B., Kerrin, Marvin, Starr Butte, Jeffrey& Ann, Steve & Leslie, Miss Ingrid, Bruce, Matt, Donald & Pam, John, Kim & John, Coby, Tasha & Manny & Keion, Kate & Shawn, Sarah (our great running partner!), Carlos, Jennifer Robinson, Josh & Mary, Ted, Cindy, Mike, April and her family, bald Jimmy, Tiger, Buster, BJ, David, Geoff & Christina, Liz & Steve, Susie, JoJo, Thalia & Dunia, Sandra & Ronald, Angie & Joe and I am sure many, many more! Love y'all, have a great New Year and Roll Tide! ... See MoreSee Less

After coming over on the last car ferry for the evening we were checking into Bon Bini cottage about 15 days before the storms. This was our first time staying on St. John and we were so excited! While touring the home at dark with Emily we could hear music coming from the other side of the water and headed down the mountain towards the music, which lead us to The Thirsty Donkey . We got there just in time before the kitchen closed and I ordered the Caesar salad, and my husband was so happy with his first pain killer on the island, we were finally on vacation. This enormous Caesar sale came out shortly after that spoiled me for the rest of the trip. I ordered Caesar salads everywhere on the island, and NO ONES Caesar salad even compared to y'alls at the Thirsty Donkey. We have booked again for New Years 2018/2019 we can't wait to spend time at the TD and the other Coral bay restaurants that were closed for the season during our first visit At the end of August. we hated watching the little community we fell in love with be in the path of such devastatation by these hurricanes, but we can't wait to visit again, laugh, and have many more adult beverages in the New Year In Coral bay, and STJ. Best of luck On the first day of the New Year, and all the days in between, and until we see you on the last day of 2018!
So glad to hear you guys ate coming back 😘😘😘
