Virgin Islands Travel Information

The U.S. Virgin Islands includes four main islands; St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island. Residents frequently refer to the islands as sisters. It is a reference that fits very well; like sisters the islands share many similarities while having very unique personalities. Plan to visit one, two, three or all four!

A vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands might include lazy days on the beach with your toes in the sand. Or it might include visits to National Parks, hiking, exploring underwater environments, jeep tours, shopping until you drop, dinner under the stars, happy hour, local events and more! Whether you are planning a family vacation, honeymoon, reunion or special event, the USVI has plenty to offer.

Each island has a guide on this website where you will find topics like accommodations, transportation, beaches, activities and attractions. In the About USVI section find information on history, geography, culture, local events and the environment.  Send e-cards to friends, download wallpaper, listen to podcasts, read newsletters, read and write reviews; all this is in Extras. In this section you’ll find frequently asked questions and answers, details on getting here, ferry schedules and other useful travel planning information. Be sure to visit the Message Board where you can join discussions with other vacationers. Need guidebooks and maps, visit VItraders.com. Have fun planning and have a terrific vacation!

Travel Reviews

Mermaid Beach: "A great beach for swimming, floating, and even snorkeling. Very well protected due to a large reef. Great sand, gradual drop-off, clean water, clean beach with lots of facilities available." --STXDreamer
