I know they offer a ferry, but am not sure it is the easiest route to take and most cost effective? We are renting a car on STJ, so do not need to shuttle it over form STT. What are the other options and how far are they from the airport? Can anyone offer any advice on this? I've heard bad things about the different ferry services, but I personally can't comment b/c I've never tried other options, so any help would be greatly appreciated! We are going the week of Thanksgiving! Only a few more days...whoo hoo!

Islands visited: STT, STJ, Jost, STX. First, St. John is the most beautiful island I have ever been on. The beaches are pristine, and it looks like everyone there tries hard to keep it that way. Our vow renewal was perfect at Cinnamon. St. Thomas was beautiful too, CA got little busy with the cruise ships and "tourists" our last day, but it was all good. Jost was awesome, how could a place with a population of around 180 not be, Foxy was very accommodating on Halloween and the CAT fight was pretty cool. And now to St. Croix, we took the Seaplane over Nov. 2, and was prepared to explore the island and all it had to offer, but apparently the government decided to call this day a holiday, and literally almost everything was closed. All of our tours were cancelled, we ended up renting a car and made the best of it. All in all it was a great trip.

We will be staying at Bluebeard's castle. Our Christmas present to each other this year to get scuba certified. My daughter and I have done the introductory class at Coki and we loved it. I have looked at the website for the vendor at Coki and have written down all their information.

I'm just curious if anyone on this site has experience or recommendations with any other local (STT) vendors who can educate and certify children (13) and adults for scuba diving. We have been to STT a dozen times or so and we always rent a car so getting to their location or shop should be no problem. As long as I don't drive over anymore parking blocks used as lane dividers, that is a different story.

Sherri I'm sure you remember Aurelia wearing diapers at Rockworks on one of our earlier visits and her loosing her first tooth on one of our later visits. I'm not sure how she got to be 13 without us getting any older.

If anyone has a name, a phone number or a website I would greatly appreciate it.

Rusty

New Dining/Activity Suggestions for a long-time STT visitor (5 replies)

My husband and I are coming down again for the 15th time the week after Thanksgiving and I am looking for some new recommendations for Dining and Activities

Our favorite restaurants have been:

Banana Tree Grille (keeper)
Craig and Sally's (Service and Quality have been declining)
Indigo (Not the same since management changed)
Mahogany Run Golf Course
Havana Blue (getting better)
Oceana
Mafolie
Old Stone Farmhouse (not the same since the brine duck was removed from menu)
Agave Terrace

Anyone have any new suggestions? We LOVED Indigo and would like to know where the owners have opened up a new place. Also, we have heard from Capn Joe (Scubadu) that the Italian place by Coki Point is awesome. Any reviews?

As far as activities, we have done JUST about everything (Ferry to St. John, Baths, Jost, Tortola, etc). We are interested in suggestions as well as any recommendations on the following:

1.) Renting a Dingy
2.) Kayaking
3.) Water Island

Thanks in Advance..

Women's board shorts at a nice price (2 replies)

I waited too long to grab my end of the year clearance board shorts so now I am scrambling to grab a black and a brown pair in a women's large(12/14). I have googled and seem to only find small sizes right now unless I want to pay $50/pair. Anyone have a great website to share? Thanks!
