Is this true? Man, I thought that place was on its way back...I booked a unit there in November and am having second thoughts now.

Did you book through Exclusive Resorts? If so check in at A201. If you booked through a private owner rest assured that the property manager will take care of you. The Budget desk and concierge desk are still in the lobby. The lawsuit has been settled, but the owner of the common areas (including the lobby), has not yet reached a contractual agreements with Exclusive Resorts or with restaurateurs. The wheels are turning, but on island time.

Life is a beach and I'm glad I've got mine.

I've stayed at sapphire before and knew to book thru VRBO but I was hoping the restaurant and pool bar would be open by November.

Who knows - that's a while away even on island time! Anyway, in case you haven't been back for a while and/or haven't been keeping track, the Banana Cabana is beachside serving some good sandwiches and drinks; while the Sapphire Bar and Grill (new owners) in Sapphire Village is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with live music a couple of nights a week and still delivers on the beach. Have fun!
