Hi everyone
So my husband and I fell in love with St. John. We stayed at the Westin last month and we can't stop thinking about St. John. The Westin was great, but pricey. I'm obsessed with visiting again and willing on staying at a hotel for less. (Hey I'm ready to just camp out in Cruz Bay in the middle of the plaza.) I've seen the Trinidad Inn online, but that seems like the only one for less than $200 a night (off season). Orbits, Hotwire.com's are't much help.

Does anyone know of a less expensive place or hotel on St. John? Or a better website?

Take a look at the website for Calabash Cottages. These are villas, not hotels, but they are wonderfully romantic with great views.

Look at Sailview in Coral Bay. They are very reasonably priced both in high and low season. I haven't stayed there (yet!) but the reviews are wonderful for it. Its a bit of a drive out of Cruz Bay but I love the Coral Bay side better and at this price a visit to St John is worth the extra driving.

I use VRBO, I've found some nice places with reasonable rates. Also look at Lindholm Estate, we stayed there a couple years ago, it's very nice and the owners are wonderful!

Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel, i stayed here for the first time this year. rooms are small but you don't spend much time in your room and the location is great!

try STARVILLAS.COM

I found this nice condo on VRBO and the cost per night is actually cheaper than the hotels.
The location works nice for us since we are only staying 4 nights. The condo is called Kachira

Coconut Coast Villas just outside of Cruz Bay is a fairly priced and still close to Cruz Bay.
