Employment opportunities in the boating industry

Good Day!
My wife and I are moving to STT soon and I will be looking for employment in the boating industry. My main question is, would it be worth my time and money to aquire a 6-pack captain's license, and are there ample employment possibilities for someone with a lifetime of boating experience, but no boat? We will be doing a PMV in September. Can anyone out there recommend a good person to speak with about this and other topics?
Thanks!

An OUPV would be useful if you can obtain one - plus STCW and TWIC as many of the boating jobs here are International to the BVI -- a Masters license is usually prefered for most jobs however.
Your questions are better asked on the relocation forum than this travel forum.
