We are assisting the legal owner in locating her stolen sailboat that was last seen in the possession of her EX-Husband John Delage, a skilled aircraft mechanic with over 25 years in the aviation industry, and has worked in St. Croix USVI, Caracas Venezuela, Florida, Alabama, Texas and Georgia, approx. age 55-56, White male Caucasian 200-220 lbs., 6'1"

Description of sailboat::

53 center cockpit ketch, fiberglass hull, USCG # 1035847, hull# AYK 53004M87B, USCG registered, boat is a "Kit hull Boat" with teak interior, may be traveling in Central, South America or Caribbean Islands.

It seems that the Ex-husband cleared out the family bank accounts and sailed off into the sunset leaving the family in debt up to their eyeballs, help us bring back justice to this family in need.

Ronnie: He's the guy with the shiny head rowing the dinghy! I can't believe that after all the time you have spent looking at the harbor you think all boats look alike! Harumph! Two masts, steering wheel in the middle of the boat. Next charter boat show Pamela should have you over there taking notes!

He did. Most 50-something white guys sitting in a Boston whaler with their shirts off look pretty much alike, too ;-D

I think I saw a guy who looked something like that last March in Skinnylegs. I might be able to be more certain if the photo had been taken from a little closer than it was. Interesting, actually, that the hunt is for the boat, not the guy.

Meaning, you know, white, with sails and masts. There are thousands to fit the description and picture! Whether it's a sloop, yawl or ketch, well, you tell me!

And sure he posted the picture of a bald white guy in a dinghy. I meant more like a shot where we could recognize him! I know you are kidding Lisa, so am I!

True, it's interesting that they search for the boat! So finally a guy gets everything before he loses it all in a divorce! LOL (little macho humor there EE)

It is humerous on the surface however....
I spent several years aside this couple living aboard.
The wife? Every male with the "Sail Off into the Sunset Gene"...was envious of her husband. Beautiful, sweet...supportive.
After purchasing this larger boat...husband made the announcement he wanted to quit work and work on the boat full time. Wife happily complied..and footed the bill (No she/they were not wealthy..just damn hard working)for every piece that went on and in the boat.
After moving boat and selves down to Gulf Coast...marriage fell apart...wife still hoping to keep things together. HUsband stated he wanted divorce...she complied. Divorce final.At that time huband had moved boat without her permission ...slipped lines in the night .and ended up in WaterGate Marina, Kima, Texas.
Divorce settlement was boat was to be sold. Husband made only three to four payments on the boat total time boat was owned. Wife not only holds all debt for boat...but huge debts he ran up on their credit cards, etc. About a month after their divorce...now..x-husband again slipped the lines from his slip in Texas and has been missing every since.
Truly one of the worst situations my husband and I had ever personally witnessed among our friends.
Several of us have been searching amongst the sailing net for this "boat". There is no dobt this fella can find another sweetie to dupe. So..with that........if you really think you saw him...go to the detectives website listed in his missing statement and look at ALL the big pictures of John and the boat. WHo knows...you may have shared a beer with him! BTW......he has a great CD collection...loves music..jazz..guitar..has a guitar. Loves Dogs..had a dog named Lady (retriever)...smokes a pipe, cigar, cigs...likes aviation airplane computer games...not exactly remarkable..but any info we can provide to make a bulb go off with anyone.......lived in Texas, Atlanta, Gulf Shores , Alabama.

Glad to see they now have a better picture of him. WIll forward to a friend that has a marina.

Thanks for the positive support, we posted the same article on "Another" sailing board and got so much flack, and dis-belief it made us re-think about posting on these type of sites...
But the goodness of people like you have proved us different....
