Everybody has an opinion on this one
me Bushwackers in the USVI with Cruzan
Pain killers in the BVI Pusser's

Bushwacker - USVI - Beach Bar Cruz Bay

Equal parts of: Amaretto Rum Kahlua Vodka
Baileys Coco Lopez blend with Ice and top with nutmeg
and I pour a little heavy on the rum. And of course Cruzan Only

From the Pusser Web Page -

Pain Killers in the BVI - Pusser's Rum the Key

The infamous Pusser's Painkiller®—the drink we are known for throughout the West Indies, in the U.S. and many parts of Europe!
The Painkiller® is a blend of Pusser's Rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top. You have a choice of numbers 2, 3 or 4, which designate the amount of Pusser's Rum! Cheers!

Painkiller #2 ... 2 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #3 ... 3 parts Pusser's Rum
Painkiller #4 ... 4 parts Pusser's Rum

DW and I were in the hot tub here in Lexington, KY just last night talking about our absolutely #1 craving: A Woody's Fresh Fish Sandwich and a Bushwacker - while sitting outside in the hot VI sun. It's our annual pilgrimage!

Magans Bay bar makes outstanding versions of each drink - they really load the Painkiller with Rum!

Good Luck! Have Fun!

When I was in SST for a week I had ALOT of bushwackers. There was one bar that made them the best. I went to that bar 3 times just for the bushwackers. The bar is called Hull Bay Hideaway. It is on the Beach of Hull Bay. There onion rings are to die for also. I loved her drinks ( can't remember the bartenders name), so I asked her for the recipe.

It is equal parts of these: Vodka, Dark Rum, Ameretto, Kahlua, Baileys, Frangelico, and a Splash of CoCo Lopez. Put in blender with ice and top with nutmag.

I have made these at home and they taste the same as hers. I sometimes use Worlds End Island Coconut Rum Cream Liqueur (I bought while on the island) instead of the dark rum to give it a little extra island flavor. Yummm!!

Its a strong drink. To many will kick your butt. wink

I have several recipes for each, but I really like the Painkillers. We sometimes substitute the Coconut Cream with Coconut Rum and we usually use Cruzan Rum in any rum drinks. We are still using nutmeg that we bought from Ruth at St. John Spice last year.

By the way, hello neighbor (VI Lover ) from another St. John fan from Lexington. We like those Woody's fish sandwiches too!!!
