Absolutely awesome video. Trips on the DayDreamer are a lot of fun, and staying at Sugar Bay or Point Pleasant next store make for great access and snorkeling. Loved the shots at Trunk Bay as well, plus over at White Bay with the shot towards Ivans and then left towards Soggy Dollar. My fav place.by Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
As STT Resident says, if you call a taxi appx 6am or 6:15 that morning you should be fine. I'd talk to the hotel prior so they know you are calling a cab early. Make sure hotel staff are availabel and around to call.My only worry would be about a taxi taking 30 mins to show up, but that early you should be fine and like the others said those are close and quick.by Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
For Roti, it's not a short trip, but both Foxy's and Soggy Dollar on JVD have excellent Roti. The Roti at Fungis was great, we had it March '11 and when we were down this past Feb all my wife wanted was that Roti. Since Jack's Bight doesn't have it, we got ours at Soggy. If anyone knows of other places on STT with great Roti, I'd love to know as well. That said, Jack's Bight has excellent fooby Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
I've stayed at Sapphire once and Point Pleasant twice, both have kitchens. Point Pleasant has a great new bar/restaurant that is open on the water; and great views. Sapphire has better beach access. Both have real good snorkeling. If you can cancel the car and get a refund, I would. The others outlined costs/time of taking it to STJ. A taxi from the airport to either is $15 or so, plus $2 aby Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
Zach - I've done both. If you want more time at Soggy Dollar, take the ferry (I think it's $70 per person). Taxi from JVD ferry doc is appx 10 mins. At Soggy by 9:15 as mentioned, and enjoy 5 hours there. Walk down the beach to Ivan's (great walk), head down the right. The best lunch there is the Chicken Roti. And by tkaing the ferry you get 5+ hours in White Bay. Day Dreamer is a great tripby Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
Freddy, If time permits, I'd suggest taking a taxi to Red Hook, then a Ferry to St. John, and you'll get an amazing sunset there. One place to eat would be Spyglass (or Looking Glass, I forget the name, but great food). Love the sunsets from Cruz Bay. Another option would be taking the gondola up to the mountain top, and though I haven't seen it myself, I've heard it's great.by Island Hopper - Virgin Islands
