Where are the cheapest/fastest places to get your lab tests done to obtain your health card?

Think this might be best posted on the Relocation Forum

I can't speak for STX since all my experience has been on STT but believe there are two clinics there plus there is the hospital community clinic where the stool testing can be done. You pick up the forms from the hospital, have the testing done either there or at a clinic and then present the completed paperwork back to the section of the hospital which issues Food Handler cards which will then issue you the card. It takes 2-3 days depending on their hours and the card has to be renewed annually. I believe the annual fee is around $40 (the Health Dept website is currently undergoing reconstruction) and the clinic fee around $20.

You can call the Department of Health on STX at 340-718-1311 and they'll direct you to the right department who'll give you details.
