Hi there!
My husband and I are heading to St. Thomas in late June to have a belated honeymoon (we have been married almost 3 years). Anyways, we are staying at the Marriot Frenchman's Reef. We do not plan to rent a car, and we are definitely open to ferry rides and taxi rides.
We are looking for some fun things to do. We want to lounge and relax, enjoy yummy drinks, and have a good time!
The only thing we have planned so far is a BVI day excursion through the New Horizons charter company.
Can you all recommend other fun things to do?
Places to go?
Food to eat?
Drinks to drink?
And just USVI travel tips in general?

Thanks in advance!

During the day, you can take the Reefer ferry into town for shopping and restaurants. The closest restaurants will be at Havensight and Yacht Haven Grande and there are a variety there from Grand Cru to Tap and Still. Not too far away are Frenchtown or Bluebeard's Beach Club with Lanai Restaurant.

Food to eat: local food at Cuzzin's in town- stewed conch, chicken soup, fish with plantains, etc.

Drinks: The Bushwhacker is the essential USVI beverage, but Painkillers (which are really from the BVI) are popular, too. Most bartenders have their own specialties.

Taxi fares are determined per person and all up very quickly, it looks like it would be $12 each way for two of you into town. You may want to rent a car at least for a day to get an idea of the rest of the island. An island tour is a fun way to spend the day.

Taxis may end up costing more than a rental car depending on how much you want to do and explore. If you do rent a car Dependable Car and Budget allow their rentals to be taken on car barge to St. John for the day.

I love the conch, fungi and fried plantains at Petite Pump Room. Oceana Restaurant in French Town offers a lovely on water setting and gr8 menu. Pricey tho most places are for dinner.

There are lots of day sail, diving, kayaking options, there's a zip line, St. Peter's Greathouse across from the pipelines facility, 2 botanical gardens, easily a different beach or 2, every day.
