We are heading back to Crystal Cove in February and are interested to know what if any changes might have occurred since last year? We saw a post that said the Banana Cabana was no longer.
Thanks for any information.

Banana Cabana is no longer but there's a new tent that's over near the bathrooms selling similar beach bar food, but in a more attractive set up. Thor who used to work Banana Cabana now works at the new spot.

Thor? I knew a Thor on STT back in the early to mid 70s who grew up there and then went to the Continent to get a college education. Could this be the same Thor? It is an unusual name...

I have no idea if it's the same Thor. All I know is his name.

There is a great new restaurant in Sapphire Village - VI Slice. Open for lunch and dinner.

Sapphire is a gated community and has 24/7 security on patrol so safety is not an issue. However do not leave valuables lying around the condo and go out the sliders. It doesn't happen often but its to easy for someone to open a slider and grab a wallet without being noticed. If you always lock the sliders and front door when you go out you will have no problem.
