Waterproof GPS recommendations

Good Day fellow islanders!
We are moving to STT soon, and my goal is to secure employment in the boating industry. I am looking for a recommendation for a hand held, waterproof GPS that works well around the islands. One that has access to the land maps of the islands would be helpful for car travel.

Asked a buddy that does marine industry work... he didn't have a specific model in mind but suggested looking at options that Garmin offers, looking online to compare options/prices.

For relocation information check out the sister-website to this one... at http://www.vimovingcenter.com. There is a forum on that website too, all about relocation questions and comments, living in the islands, etc.
