Event Details

The SCYC International Regatta has a long history of being a premier Caribbean sailing event, exemplifying the best in racing venues and local hospitality. The island’s economy has had its ups and downs, but this event has soldiered on with the unwavering support of countless volunteers, sponsorship from government and local businesses. But most importantly the support of our competitors, who make the trek from near and far to be part of the this incredible event. Daytime races, and evening events and parties. See their website for details.

The Races:
Friday March 9th – Capt Nick’s Race
A salute to Captain Nick Castruccio “Tail Hook Nick” and sharing his life long passion for racing and the sea. A great way to shake the rust off in advance of the main event.

Friday March 9th – Optimist Clinic 9AM-3PM
Pre-Regatta Opti clinic run by Coach Tino and staff.

Sat & Sun March 10 &11 – SCYC International Regatta
Two days of fun, fast and exciting mix of CSA and one design classes for the whole family. With an array of courses set in picturesque Buck Island channel, yet close enough for an easy run back to the Club, the party and some Cruzan “hospitality”.
