Ferry St Thomas -Amalie to Tortola | 0 Relevance | 6 days ago | ellie | Travel Message Board
We arrive on the plane at 2:55 Delta on a Monday. We will be heading the same day to Tortola. Should we buy our ferry ticket in advance? If we do and miss the 4:00 ferry would our ticket be good for the 5:30 ferry?
RE: Travel to/from National Park without a rental car | 0 Relevance | 2 weeks ago | myabrownn | Travel Message Board
St. John's National Park without a car? No sweat! Taxis are comfy but can add up. Try sharing a ride to save some bucks! Public bus (Vitran) is budget-friendly, but island time applies. Water taxi to Nany Cay is scenic, then grab a taxi or hitch a ride closer to your trails. Pick trails near Cruz Bay like Trunk Bay and sunscreen is a must - the Caribbean sun is stronger than a safari desert dubai 😀

Hello, I do not live in the VI and I don't have any specific knowledge but I noticed your post so I did a quick search and here is some info I found online. Best of luck! Here is a link to accessibility info for St John beaches: Here is an article I found from 2021 about bringing accessibility to some St Thomas beaches: And here is a link for booking a wheelchair accessible beach excursion:
Evening Activities Near Westin Frenchman's Reef | 0 Relevance | 2 months ago | DarlaMN | Travel Message Board
Hi All, we are a group of 40+ women looking for evening activities (7-9ish) for two of us while the other two do a night kayak activity. We are staying on the other side of the island near Red Hook so we all plan to taxi together to the Westin and two will go on from there. I have read that shopping closes by about 5pm so that is not a possibility, correct? We do like to walk but would want to be safe about it. Recommendations for live music/dancing that's not crazy young and crowded would be appreciated as well as any other ideas. The kayaking is offered every night except Saturday but we will likely go on a weeknight unless there is a good reason to do otherwise. Thanks in advance!
RE: dinner late villa arrival | 0 Relevance | 2 months ago | Hillary St. John | Travel Message Board
RE party arriving late (9:42pm instead of 8pm) on St. Thomas, needing to feed a family late: Tap n Still (basic but good burgers, fries, wings, sandwiches, etc) in Havensight and Red Hook is open until midnight; the location in Cruz Bay is open until 11pm. For more interesting fare, the XO Bistro in Red Hook serves full menu until midnight. I believe the Easterly, also in Red Hook, serves until 11pm. Dolphin Market in Cruz Bay is open until 11pm. If you're staying at Emerald Beach (which we love) overnight, they have full breakfast service, and an all-day menu, otherwise. Dominoes Pizza in Nisky Center (just 5 minute drive from EB) delivers until 10pm. You could order (pay and tip on the phone, from the plane the minute you land, ask them to leave order with front desk. We live on St. John, stay over in St. Thomas for "staycations" because we can't leave our restaurant for more than 2 nights, and the staff at Emerald Beach are SO gracious, we always feel so at home with our little dog, who loves their pretty little garden area on the "land side" of the buildings, not being particularly fond of beaches!

RE: How ti relocate to the USVI! | 0 Relevance | 3 months ago | Lostinthesauce | Travel Message Board
Greetings, St. Thomas is more touristy and condense. St. Croix is bigger, less touristy but improving. Less friendly...though none are really friendly. St. John more white upperclass, smallest and maybe more close nit overall. Ask away. |
