It's been a while since I've visited the Island of St. John. I've have freed up some last minute time from work and would like to see if I can squeeze a 4 to 5 day trip. Have a few questions.

1. How is the Island weather wise (looking at this coming week) and recovery wise from the big storm?

2. I'm traveling with my fiancé and our 1 yr old son. Suggestions for rental vs resort? 

3. Am I pushing it trying to make this happen such last minute?

Other option I'm considering is Puerto Rico. Only because I didn't noice my passport expired so have to stay US based. Any feedback and guidance is greatly appreciated!!
