We are going to be staying at the Best Western on St Thomas for 3 nights & 4 days and I'm wondering what are the "must eats" there? That would be awesome if I could get ideas for lunch & dinner:) We're going to try visiting St John for a half day so I would love a suggestion for lunch there. Thanks for the help!

There are so many options depending on your tastes and your wallet, but this is a very informative site which will give you a good start on St Thomas restaurants.

When you get to St John there are loads of options in an easily walkable distance of the ferry terminal so you can pretty much follow your nose there!

Enjoy a great visit!

Go to Petite Pump Room for lunch at the downtown ferry terminal (upstairs) and try some West Indian fare for lunch. I love their conch in butter sauce with fungi, sweet potatoes and plantains.
Try the soup sop ice cream if they have it.
Nearby French Town has lots of restaurants to try for lunch & dinner.
If you are in St. John, try Lime Inn for lunch.
Always good food not to mention the best hot fudge Sundaes in the VI for dessert.

If you plan on eating out for dinner, be sure to make reservations as it is "season."

Lime Inn's Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie Pie with vanilla ice cream is also to die for!

Do you only want eats near Best Western? Victor's New Hideout is a favorite for local food.

Also, I think it's Sunset Guest House that has a highly regarded steak dinner on Thursday night, I think. If you want specifics, post and I'll get all the details.

I am not sure about Sunset Guest House -- but Island View on the same road does offer dinner some nights by reservation.

Tavern on the Waterfront in Charlotte Amalie on Tuesday nights is a must -- lobster night!

A bit of a drive from where you're staying, but Sunset Grille at Secret Harbour Beach Resort has a gorgeous sunset and good food. For sushi, try Enkai in Frenchtown or Revelry in Red Hook.

Oceana is absolutely gorgeous, has great food and wonderful views. $$$.
It's located right behind Frenchtown. Hook Line and Sinker is in FT as well and has great lunches.
Just wander around the area as it has many different restaurants and menus within walking distance of each other and see which appeals to you.

If you are able to get to Coral Bay area on St. John have lunch at Skinny Legs for great burgers and interesting atmosphere.

Shipwreck Landing in Coral Bay, STJ, has great food and more options for lunch than just burgers.

Shipwreck is probably my favorite restaurant on St. John, but Skinny Legs is a fun experience. It was a tough decision when I mentioned Skinny Legs. Thought about mentioning both. Seeing the water from Shipwreck is also great. Really need more than half a day on St. John. I prefer to have 2 to 3 weeks.
