Myself and 3 friends will be hanging out at Woody's more than likely on a daily basis the first week in March. I'm curious as to who we might run into. (And yes I've been lurking on this board for some time soaking up all the advice and recommendations...which makes me....a lurker??)

2 weeks and counting!

My husband, myself and another couple are going to St Thomas March 3rd thru the 10th. We are planning a few day/night visits to STJ. We have never been to STJ, we will try and find Woody's & hopefully we will see you all there.

My understanding is that Woody's has a great happy hour in the afternoons. This will be my first trip to St. John as well. I wish you safe travels!

Batracer,

We will be on STT from March 2nd until the 8th. I hope to stop by Iggies Beach Bar one night for Karaoke (I'm a dork) and spend a day over on STJ snorkeling and getting a few cocktails. We will try to swing by Woody's at happy hour as well. Hope to see you all there.

Wild Gardenia & Ocean Addict,
Our group is coming from Pa. We will try and look you all up. We can't wait!! Where is Iggies Bar? I think I have read about it, I just can't remember what I read or where's it at. We are always up for a new fun place to drink and have fun.

Hey you guys,

Iggies Beach Bar is located at the Bongolo Bay Resort in St. Thomas. Here is the Web site:

http://www.iggiesbeachbar.com/

They have listed for Saturday:
All You Can Eat Dungeness Crab Legs $34.00. Bacardi drink Specials. Karaoke 8pm - 12am.

Again I am a "Karaoke Dork" I jump at the chance to make a drunken fool of myself. My husband will need someone to keep him company because unless he drinks a full bottle of tequila and they have the song "Mr. Bojangles" I am quite confident he will not be the one singing. Just the one sitting there looking embarrassed. Ha ha LOL too bad for him.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How very exciting! We are traveling in a group of 4...3 women and 1 man for this trip. All friends who LOVE to laugh and have a great time. Laughter is a must for this trip and we're very good at it.

When you guys were talking about the Beach Bar I was thrilled until I realized you meant the one on STT. Our villa is located on top of the Beach Bar located in Wharfside Village in STJ. If you search Wharfside Village you can see that the village sign is right on top of our villa which has paned windows facing the bay. I've made sure to bring decent pj's so I don't flash the incoming ferries but then again...I plan on being out and about in the evening so perhaps it won't be an issue 🙂

Until next week!!

SusieQ

We are going to be on St. Thomas. However, we are planning to take the car ferry over to St. John on the 5th to drive around, snorkel and drink (not in any particular order) and if we love it, we will probably do that on the 6th and the 7th as well. Because we have not been there before, I am not sure where we will be and when but we will most definitely be around. I'm the loud obnoxious 30 something lady that will have a snorkel glued to her mouth or be singing with bands and partaking in Karaoke at every turn. My husband will be the sun burnt lump sitting next to me taking a nap with a drink in his hand. Feel free to come over and say HI!!!!!!

as of tomorrow I can say "leaving in a week"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oceanaddict...you sound just like me! I'm awfully extroverted but in a good way I like to think. Consider it the "it factor" if you will.

susieq...we will be on an all day sail with Captain Phil on the 5th for my 37th birthday...what better way to celebrate? I'm traveling with my sister and 2 other friends. We'll be the extroverted girls from Iowa. It sounds as though we will be at Woody's for happy hour on a daily basis when we aren't on a day sail...we'll look for you!

WG,

Ahhhh....yes..... the "it Factor". I know it well. I have heard it called that. My husband likes to call it mental retardation or raging idiot or even complete and utter embarrassment to all. But I like to think of it as being a go getter, or happy go lucky or even bottled sunshine. Anyway you want to look at it, I will be the one having a good time.

I can not wait to get there and put my toes in that water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got back from a John Mayer concert... it was a very good show!!! Good night to all.

It is now after Midnight and I will be leaving in a week!#$%&*!

Bottled Sunshine...that is so perfect! I just may have to use it as a screen name someday. Thanks for the idea oceanaddict~

Here is a photo in case you see us bouncing around the island somewhere. I'm on the left and the other two are on the far right. Yes...I'm the brunette in a sea of blonde. My guess is we'll end up at Woody's late afternoon on March 5th after our day sail. Perhaps we will see you there! I'll be the one with a drink in hand inquiring after susieq and oceanaddict's whereabouts...

So I upload a picture and it blows up. I wonder if I should take that personally? Let's try this again...

Well, you ladies look like fun and we will keep an eye out for you. I have a picture of my husband and myself, however I am not sure how to upload it. I tried the old cut and paste but that does not work and I am not sure how to get the picture in here (I'm sure if I ask my 7 year old he could tell me, but I can not bring myself to do it. He will find out how incompetent I am soon enough). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

oceanaddict...if you have a website photo album that you upload pictures to you can use that. I believe webshots.com is pretty popular. Just upload your pic there and then right click on it in your web browser after it is on the site...check the properties option and you will see a link where your picture is located on webshots.com. Copy and paste the link into a new message on this forum...place the text after the text from your link. When you preview your message you should be able to see your picture. Am I rambling here? 🙂

If all else fails, I'd be happy to post your picture for a while on my website...you can email it to me at [email protected].

Good luck!

Ok, I'm working on getting webshots up and running. I've always wanted to have an account anyway. So by Sunday afternoon I hope to show my face here for later recognition. That way if you see us on the beach you can tell us when to flip over.

We are so in the midst of an ice storm right now! Limbs and branches are falling from the sky as we speak. You have to be careful walking so you don't get hit by falling ice from power lines and trees. I'm typing this in between power outages. Days like this will make St. John seem like paradise.

Ok,

Here it goes. I'm posting a pic of the stud and myself. Again if you see us hanging around the islands come and say Hi. We might look drunk and disorderly but we really are nice people. LOL
