We are bringing my sister & bro in-law for their 25th anniversary. They would like to go to a nice restaurant on their special day. She is allergic to shell fish! Poor girl! So it has to offer more than just seafood and have a nice atmosphere - maybe even a nice view. We don't really eat out at "fancy" places when we are on island so this is a first for us. We would like to stay on STT for this dinner because it will be our first full day on island. TIA!

Oceana in Frenchtown. Make reservations and request oceanside dining.

Grille at Mahogany Run
Havana Blue
Mafolie

My wife and I did Oceana for our 20th last year. It was great. Highly recommend it

Thank you everyone!

In regards to The Blue Orchid, is the menu as small as it is online?

Which property(s) has a really nice ocean view from your table? (looks like oceana & blue orchid, haven't checked them all out yet though.)

Is Thirteen on the Northside still open?

No real view from inside Blue Orchid at all and decor is just okay. They do have more on menu that is not on website but found food lacking at the prices they charge. Thirteen on Northside still open but prefer Northside Bistro as find 13 a bit cluastorphobic tho food is usually good.

Banana Tree Grill has a town and harbor view (up at Bluebeard's Castle) and Oceana is oceanside.

Mafolie Hotel may have the most impressive view from your table of any place mentioned so far.

Have you been recently,Exit Zero?
How's the food? Wasn't impressed last time we ate there but that was awhile ago.
The veiw is lovely of town and harbor but not ocean side.

There is a restaurant at Secret Harbor that is on the beach but cannot remember the name or comment on whether food is excellent or not.Maybe some else can.

I think I remember wanting to try the Agave Terrace because of the live steel pan music. Is that at Point Pleasant?? Still open? Recommend?

Thanks Alan33 & Exitzero for all your help!

No longer Agave. Can't tell you new name, if it's open or not or if food is any good.
I am sure someoneelse will know and post.

I believe it is going to be called Agave Blue, but don't think it is open yet.

.

3 times in the last 6 months -- I eat the simplest foods - fresh fish or grilled steaks - can't comment on the constructed dishes but mine were just fine.
It is mostly all about the view IMO and I am usually with visitors who are awed by the beauty.

Rather high chef turnover leads to inconsistency affecting the opinion of the day!
