Sherri Said: This was fun!
How about another thread using our own photos! Wouldn't be a prize tho!
What do ya think?

The prize is one day at this beach at your own expense

I think this one is pretty easy

And, another one for the good guessers! Hint: there's a brick oven not too far from this spot, too.

Margy,
Sapphire? or is it STX?

Islander, D is right! How'd you guess, cuz I live in the area?
You still have to say the word in order to win it!

On Island time,
NOPE!

TomB,
The bar scene reminds me of downtown STT, A H Riise, but last I knew there was no bar there! You have my curiosity up! Got the hint word breeze, but doesn't help me at all!

Close enought it is Amici's in the AH Rise Alley
Cold air from the store pours out into the alley
and they have a great pizzas - always the last stop before leaving the island.

TomB Hints

hint #1
Cool breezes always gets a rise from the patrons...

hint #2
Smells from the brick oven make you say ah....

TomB - Cafe Amici does have great pizza! Sherri good job on getting AH Riise on that one.

Sherri - Couldn't think of many hammocks right by a beach over a grassy lawn... only two came to mind. The one at Limetree (Bluebeards Beach Club) like On Island Time guessed and the one that starts with a D. I've relaxed in both a few times and was quite sure your photo was the latter, that being Dorothea Beach, St. Thomas.

MargyZ - tough one, maybe Tamarind Reef, St. Croix... not sure if the Deep End Bar/Restaurant has a brick oven?

Margy Z,
Platform! Good job! I'll never guess yours! I'll see if Jeff knows. We have gone over a few times to visit a friend.

Islander- YES! Dorothea Beach with the hammock!

Wow, I lucked out on the A H Riise, I love that building and study it every time I am in the area! Just wish I had done even better and got Cafe' Amicci........

It would be better if I could spell better with AH Riise and Cafe' Amicci - hey if spelling counted I would have been thrown off long time ago
😀

No guesses on Number 4???????
I figured some of the non-islander folks would get this one quick...

No guesses on #4, TomB. Sherri - I have never been to Dorothea Beach - have to note that for when we get back there.

OK, for mine, to recap: Hints: a) STX b) near a place with a brick oven c) West of Tamarind Reef

new hints:

d) great diving near here, and a bonus hint e) Pink Floyd

I know you guys will get it NOW!!!

TomB - haven't looked for a payphone in a very long time. There was an interesting show on Discovery Channel or one of the similar channels about the history of telephones a while back. It got into the popularity of payphones and their subsequent decline after cellphones gained popularity. Anyway, are your payphones maybe at the St. Thomas airport?

Nope - not at the airport

But the phones are still there - at least they were a few months ago...
And there were some upset people they were not working

My bet most regulars/islanders have seen them.

I just thought it was funny that all of them were out of order

Hint - great place to get out of rain storm, and still be outside
In fact you can get lunch but I promise you the rain storm would be over long before the food arrived
