Received word that the newly built house at Supreme Corner (the switchback on Centerline Rd. just above Pastory Gardens) has collapsed. Send a prayer up for that family.

Thought it interesting that the local Austin news station and ABC national news didn't even mention Hurricane Omar.

Local Austin CBS station 6:00 news did cover it and showed Omar now being passed the VI.

To all my friends and everyone on STJ. My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight. Be safe. FYI....if you would like information on the hurricane and what is happening on STJ go to www.stjohntradewindsnews.com. They are updating their website every hour and are doing a great job.

My husband and I were in STT last week..everything was wonderful... (working on my trip report) its amazing what a few short days can do in regards to the weather changing so drastically. Please everyone in VI's take cover and good luck.. we went through a flood this summer and lost a lot.. I feel for everyone down there....be safe ... our prayers are being sent your way!!

Well wishes to everyone in the VI. Prayers are with you all and your families.

STT, hoping your are now full of 10 bean soup and sleeping soundly!!

I've heard from sherri and she was getting ready to prep the shack earlier today. God save that shack!

Hope to hear from you all very soon.

Just saw the weather channel and they showed St. Croix flooding (8:22PM). Looks like the Omar is going further north/north east. But that can change. STT looks like 50-60 MPH. St. Croix looks like a little more wind and rain.

Keep hoping!!!!!

A little comic relief....... The Weather Channel, bless their hearts, just gave us the local update for our area, and I quote "Windy, with light rain" Can I just say it is indeed little windy here and pouring rain. Gotta love it.

The rain had gone down to a drizzle but has picked up again and its back to pouring. Wind is picking up a little.

Well that seems to have been really much of nought, thankfully. The sun is shining and hopefully a nice clear day is ahead although my radio has crapped out so I can't get any local news right now. Cheers!

Curfew still on and am awaiting more updates. Power is apparently out in several areas of STT and STJ (don't know about STX but presume the same) and some cellphone users have no service. I've received a couple of calls on my landline but when I try to call out I get the, "all circuits are busy" recording. My stereo/radio system crapped out and I have no batteries for the portable radio so am waiting for updates from local friends who have internet. Beginning to feel as though I'm in the "I Am Legend" movie but hope not to meet up with any nasty mutants on such an otherwise pleasant day. Cheers!
