We are going to stay on Water Island at the former Reef Terrace beginning Feb. 11 thru Feb. 20. We feel we got a great deal on this villa but, the ferry schedule seems to prohibit any sort of night-life trip onto the main island. We've always stayed at Point Pleasant and enjoyed the day sail with Jake Morningstar (The Pirate) 3 yrs. running.
Please give me some input!!!!!!!

Hello Rory,

Water Island offers a very quiet retreat. Day time trips to St. Thomas offer all the amenities of day time activiies - shopping, lunch, beach trips... However yes your nighttime activiies are curtailed by the ferry schedule. If you want to spend some nights out on St. Thomas, choose the day you want to do this and consider staying one night or a couple nights on St. Thomas. Perhaps you might want to go to St. John which would be easier from St. Thomas, once less commute, but not impossiable from Water Island. Pick a day you want to go out at night on St. Thomas, maybe Tuesday night for Greenhouse, or Friday or Saturday night for Duffys, Or another night that interest you. And go over for that night and spend the following day in St. John. Then spend the rest of the time on Water Island. Or if the day sail is something you want to do as opposed to St. John, then likewise go out that evening, stay at a b&b or less expensive facility on St. Thomas, take the day sail the next day, return to Water Island that afternoon.
