He's on tour in the states all summer and probably won't be back on island until it's over. When is your big day?

Your are right - craziest thing (and good for a laugh) that I have heard in a long, long, time - and there are many fun and crazy questions asked all the time, but this is among the top of them all. I guess you don't know much about Kenny 🙂 and the fact he comes here to blend in and get away from all the demands of his hectic life.

I'm not a Country Music Fan, so I don't know much about Kenny Chesney at all, but I say GO FOR IT!

Ask all you want. Who knows, your dream might come true. Crazier things have happened.

Just don't be hurt if he (or his people) say, "no," or if you don't even get a response.

Living life to it's fullest requires taking chances, and if you don't ask, you'll never know what might have happened.

Kenny goes to the islands to blend in and be left alone. Type in Kenny Chesney in the search forum here and also on the relocaton board. In my opinion, from everything I have read and all the interviews I have seen Kenny on........he wants left alone when he's in the islands. If you meet and be friend him, that may be another story.

BELIEVE ME! I would LOVE to ask him to sing to me too!!! Good luck with all and congratulations on your upcoming event!

When we were on St. John last week, one of the locals said that KC was gay and that's why his marriage broke up. (Renee gave "fraud" as the reason). Is there any truth to this, or am I the only one that didn't know? I still LOVE his music...he's got that special voice and lyrics that are just wonderful.

I'm guessing that you don't. But I would like to know...so, the answer to your question is I DO. Now, can anyone else answer that?

On September 15, 2005, after only four months of marriage, they announced their plans for an annulment. Zellweger cited "fraud" as the reason in the related legal papers. Numerous internet reports speculated that Zellweger discovered Chesney was gay....Chesney responded to these rumors by stating: "They've done nothing short of calling me gay and her a whore. None of those things are true. I'm pretty firm in my sexuality and my love for women.

I dont believe rumors or "hear say", but this is something I found concerning the topic. Im a big fan of Kenny myself, Im going to see him at Madison Square Gardens on July 14th. Take care.

The word I heard was she wanted to go somewhere other than STJ as she doesn't like the beach. Wanted him to whisk her away to the South of France and he couldn't understand why, with a perfectly good place like STJ to go to! Can you blame him?

He does pop on & off island during his tour dates. I think salt water and sun recharges his batteries.

The best chance you would have him show up at the wedding would be drop a note on his boat http://community.webshots.com/photo/547792236/2881707350082606958DhOgNf when you get there. If the boat is not there - good chance he is in the STT, STJ, or BVI waters.

But Pia is correct he comes down the islands just like everybody else to get away from what they do every work day.

You are correct. Change about about 6 to 9 months ago. After this post it will change again.

Oh well - the price of being a star

bridetobe: well you can only try. Hope springs eternal! Play his music on CDs if push comes to shove!

These Kenny Chesney posts pop up all the time on this forum and others too. Along with other posts noting, "celebrity sightings" along with rumours of impending celebrity visits.

"Celebrities" often do come here to the islands to chill out and relax and remove themselves from the general hubbub which accompanies their "fame" and many of us longtimers here have met many of them, spent some time with them and have tales to tell, but we keep our mouths shut out of respect for their right to privacy.

They have a right to get out of the bubble, need to get out of the bubble. If you're a visitor and happen to see Kenny Chesney or anyone else of note on any of our islands, be a good person and leave them alone. A quick "hello" and, "I appreciate what you do" (if you really must) is enough, then just go away and don't make a big scene.

Cheers!

Well said STT Resident!

Or to steal a line from the topic at hand, "be as you are"

As very frequent traveller to the island there is no doubt that somewhere some place you will bump in to someone who has some level of fame. Smile, wave if you want, and later that night on a bar stool at Lattiude 18 - Say don't taxes stink, and you may have a new friend.

I threw out the boat name because it sounds like the bride to be would really like to hear his voice. I did not give the marina so if she really wants him to show up it will take some time... maybe?

From the groom's standpoint (the male in me) Not sure I want my bride's hero singing at my wedding... It may become destracting.

So my advice is Be As You Are - keep coming to the islands (frequent and often) and one day your dream will come true.
