Samantha,

If you are coming in on a cruise ship you can just walk off the ship in Havensight and join a group for an island tour, there are lots of taxis waiting there to do this... tours are usually 1 hour 30 min - 2 hours. You might also want to rent a car and drive around yourselves since you were orginally interested in a scooter so you could do your own thing. If you rented a car you could drive everywhere, beach hop - it makes for a fun day.
