You are our daughters age. When she was up to visit a couple of weeks ago, I was being a good mom and took her car to the gas station and car wash only to discover a pack of cigs in her door! Ruh-roh!

Oooh! Excellent photos. What kind of camera?

Sorry I missed you - we were both there on Carnival day. The kids smiled better for you!

ah blu! can't believe we missed each other! the law of averages holds that we probably passed each other by at one point of another! i used a Canon Powershot A400. i've had the camera for 2 years but these are the best pics i've ever taken with it.

eagles thats funny about your daughters car....i have a handbook called 'concealing incriminating items from parents-a beginners guide' if she's interested 😉 lol

ms411...i actually saw one crossing...i was pootling along in the golf cart and there it was moseying across the road ahead. i thought it looked more tortoise-like than turtle-like so couldn't tell you what type of turtle it was.

ccd, thanks for letting me know about the "turtle." There's actually a red-legged tortoise that's, I think, supposed to be native to this area, and can be found at the botanical garden in Tortola, BVI. It's good to know I can see them on Water Island, and save myself a trip to Tortola for now!

CCD....Nice Pics. I am a budweiser drinker, I don't know how people drink heiniken, but to each their own. I had to drink alone while I was down there also. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. If you have more pics I would love to see them.

karen...if it helps any more-the pic of the sign was taken down near spratt bay and there's a few of the signs there which i guess indicates lots of turtle activity...the turtle i spotted was on the road above honeymoon beach tho....i also saw a snake on that road one of the days. unfortunately it had had a run in with some tyres and was on the pancake side of flat...i'm still counting it as a legitimate sighting tho lol
