Can anyone confirm if there are any 4 or 5 bedroom villas in St Thomas that has a separate cottage or accommodation from the main villa?

Thanks in advance.

Only villas that I can think of that has the Main house as well as a separate cottage/house is : Sand Dollar and Coral and Secret Gardens. Some people will rent more than one villa which is close to another villa also!
Ck out: www.mclaughlinanderson.com for the above villas! Hopes this helps!

We renting Villa Wyndcliff on St. Thomas and it has 6 BR's, 5 1/2 BAs. It looks like one of the BR's is separated from the main house. You may want to take a look at it.

Sorry...i have no idea how to put a link on here.

We are staying at the Blue Serenity on St. Thomas. I think that it has 5 bedrooms in the main house and a separtate cottage with 1 bedroom, a kitchen and living room. It is on the east end of St. Thomas and is on a small private beach and pool. We will be there in April and I can let you know a little more about it.

Sherri, i'm anxious too. With the 8 people going with us and me being basically the travel agent, i'm getting a little anxious. I really do hope that it fits what we need....

Doesn't Star Garden have that kind of layout? If you are sitting on Magens Bay and you look to the left and up to the top of that mountain (that's Peterborg Peninsula), you'll see Star Garden. It is the yellow villa up top - and it WILL catch your eye. Stunning!

Kelly,

Uhhhh, what might it take for you to just let me sleep on the beach of Sand Dollar?

I have three villa dreams in the USVI:
Sand Dollar , Sea Cove and Peter Bay Beach House

Blu,
You are right about Star Garden and that would be my villa dream! My absolute favorite! I know it doesn't have a beach like Sand Dollar, but I really like how it is laid out and how it was done. Star Garden has 3 buildings, 1 with open and airy great room, dining area, and kitchen combined with porches to both sides (this way you can hide from direct sunlight according to the time of day). 2nd has 2 bedrooms with Tommy Bahama furniture and I love her choices in bedding in ALL bedrooms, and 3rd has the Master and 2 other bedrooms. Very NICE!!!!!!

Star Garden is indeed a beautiful villa. It's perfect and the layout is exactly what you're looking for. We were there this past Christmas and it was by far the most perfect villa we've ever had. However, we tried to go ahead and book it again and were told it was going on the market. No bookings were being taken until it sold. I hope whoever gets it will still rent it out. I absolutely loved it. If anyone has any updates, please post. And no one is allowed to book it if I want it. It's all mine. LOL!

Blu, yeah, I thought it was strange too. We weren't given any reasons that I feel free to repeat. But if you go to the agencies, they simply say it is unavailable. Just hope we get a chance to go there again. I'm gonna get grief for this, but hubby and I hardly ever left the villa. We simply had everything we needed there. It was a lot of fun however, to hang in the pool and watch the crowds at Magens. LOL! It is a memory I'll never forget.
By the way, nice to meet ya. I've read a lot of your posts here. So, hello. Or should I say, Good evening?

Nice to meet you also, Pam!

Perhaps one of the reasons was that the owners were disenchanted with the increases in electric costs. I've heard that from a few owners. It has always been that villas were expensive to maintain and rent out - and oners barely broke even, if that. But, now, I am hearing from the owners that they're *losing* money hand over fist. Villa rental rates have increased for visitors.....but that's still not enough for many owners.
