The weather in December is wonderful. The rains will have ended (except an occasional shower) the water is clear. Everything is open. Dec-April is "high" season because the weather is so beautiful. However, we have visited in June-July too and have had great weather. Sept - mid Nov is more iffy. If we are going down during those months we pay close attention to the weather.

Cruise ship crowds increase during "high season". This complicates driving on St Thomas. St John and Water Island are less affected by the cruise ships.

Christmas season with Christmas prices will start the week before Christmas, around the 19th or 20th. So keep that in mind as you make your plans.

It is wonderful in December I have been going off and on for years. Occasional rain, usually blows over. Warm and sunny and the water is fine . I'll be there myself in about 4 days and I can't wait.

go anytime before the the last week. Prices for condos go up. Also there are the Xmas winds that tend to blow starting that time.

Go to VRBO and select where you and get prices. We have a condo on Sapphire Beach which we thing is the the best beach. Our prices go up about 100/night and all of december is booked. The water temperature droops a few degrees in January and through March then begins to go up to a high of about 86 degrees August and September. Look at January as there is usually a drop in occupancy then. But look at all the areas then determine if you want a studio, one bedroom or a two.

But whatever month you will have a great time.

If you have any questions about STT PM me.

The Christmas winds (Trade winds) have come early this year which does seem a little odd as in the last couple of years they've been very late coming, Conversely we have as usual over the last several years avoided any major damage from hurricanes but were treated this year by record-breaking rainfall on the tail of three passing hurricanes which whipped up moisture and really messed us up! But "normal" weather patterns have been changing like mad all over the world for the last 15+ years and we're not immune from such changes.

December is a lovely month usually but if you're planning for December this year then best you reserve NOW as the prime spots will already be gone. Cheers and good luck planning!
