St. John Beaches
Maho Bay Eco Camp
Maho Bay Eco camp is a fantastic way to see St. John on a tight budget. My husband and I found our tent cabin to be extremely clean and quite comfortable. We had a beautiful view of Maho Bay from the hillside and we were only steps from the beautiful white beach. Aside from the beach being steps from our door we were able to enjoy a day sail/snorkel with some of the other guests. We even found great snorkeling right off the beach around the rocks. Maho is not for you if you are looking for 1st class. Being built on the side of a hill you do have to lug your bags up and down stairs. The laundry and store are also at the top of the hill as is the restaurant. Maho also recycles everything and everyone shares community bath houses. So if you are earth friendly, looking to see the sights on a budget and like friendly people. Give it a try and don't forget your flashlight!
