St. Thomas/St. John – Anegada Ferry Service

Ferry service between St. Thomas (USVI) and Anegada (BVI) is available occasionally throughout the year, and for special events like the Anegada Lobster Festival in November. The route is Red Hook, St. Thomas; Cruz Bay, St. John and The Settlement, Anegada.

General Information: The ferry ride between St. Thomas and Anegada, when available, takes approximately two (2) hours each way. Customs is often cleared on Jost Van Dyke. The rates are typically Adult (Ages 12+) Round Trip: $200 and One-way $180. Child (Ages 3-11) Round Trip: $180 and One-way $160. Infant Ages 2 & Under: $40. Plus a $30 customs fee.

The St. Thomas-Anegada ferry is operated by Inter Island Boat Services, (340) 776-6597. Check in time is 45 minutes prior to departure time. Valid passports are required to take this trip.

Travel between the US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands is international, you are required to clear customs/immigration on both sides of the trip, and there are port fees and departure taxes.

They include USVI Port Fee $10, BVI Environment Fee $10 and BVI Departure Tax $20 ($15 BVI resident). These fees are subject to change by their respective governmental authorities, they are not regulated by the ferry operators. When purchasing ferry tickets take note which port fees and government taxes, if any, are included in your ticket purchase.
