Check In Time: 45 minutes prior to departure time. 
Travel Time: 15 minutes between St. Thomas and St. John, then 30 minutes between St. John and Jost Van Dyke. The ferry goes from St. Thomas to St. John then to Jost Van Dyke. And then in reverse on the return trip.

Travel between the US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands is international, you are required to clear customs/immigration on both sides of the trip, and there are port fees and departure taxes.

Port Fees and Taxes: Port fees and departure taxes are generally not included in the cost of your ferry tickets. They include USVI Port Fee $10, BVI Environment Fee $10 and BVI Departure Tax $20 ($15 BVI resident). These fees are subject to change by their respective governmental authorities, they are not regulated by the ferry operators. When purchasing ferry tickets take note which port fees and government taxes, if any, are included in your ticket purchase.

Travel Update (COVID): COVID related testing for entering the British Virgin Islands (BVI), and the US Virgin Islands (USVI) is no longer required.
