Lindquist Beach is one of St. Thomas' most beautiful and pristine beaches. It is part of a protected 21 acre area called Smith Bay Park. The gorgeous, crystal clear, turquoise water is perfect for swimming. Heading west, the swimming area gives way to another area of the bay, a very shallow shelf with tide pools. The shore is covered in bright white sand with a faint touch of pink. The sand is soft and perfect for a game of Frisbee, building sand castles, strolling along the shore or just sitting back and enjoying the fantastic view of St. John and the British Virgin Islands. Snorkeling can be enjoyed on the right side of the beach. Looking for natural shade while hanging out on the shore? The right side has a coconut grove and the left side sea grape trees. The middle area has very little shade as the tree line is mostly low lying brush. Amenities include lifeguard, picnic tables and bathrooms. Two sheds are available for events and parties; rental on sheds are $50, advance reservations required. Often lightly populated during the week, the beach comes to life on weekends, particularly Sundays with residents having picnics and parties. Admission fees: Residents with id $2. Non-Residents $5. Car parking $2. Children under 13 are free.

The whole experience was a let down considering it was a pay to get in beach. Granted it was windy and the surf was high and the beach was very dirty with sea grass and sea weed but it also had litter and felt like a homeless encampment. After paying $5.00 per person to get in it was a huge let down. There was no military discount or anything like that. Not a particularly pretty beach to look at. Save your money totally not worth the time or money. If you want to pay then go the Maghans Bay Beach.

It's like swimming in a crystal clear pool with turtles.  Lindquist is a magical place not to missed.  The only downside is there is no food/drink sales.  Bring you cooler and chairs.

Just got back from St. Thomas (11/`21) and we had a great time.  I'm an avid snorkel fan with intermediate experience.   Lindquist was the most pristine white sandy beach with beautiful turquoise waters of the 5 beaches we visited (Sapphire, Coki, Magens Bay, Secret Harbor being the other 4).  The beach was somewhat narrow, with outlining Mangrove trees to duck under for some shade.   Unfortunately, the snorkeling wasn't great. The middle is mostly turtle grass while. Both the right and left sides have some corals, but they are mostly dying.  Not a lot of life or fish at either of these.  I would love to have explored a little more, but I didn't see much there.   Oh...they do also have a very nice large bathroom areas with separate showers.   No food/drinks but they do have some picnic tables available.

Water was very murky. Quite a bit of algae in the water and on the beach. Very rocky, so glad I had water shoes. The lifeguard was very nice and guided my husband and son in law to nice snorkeling areas. The beach wasn’t over crowded. I prefer sapphire beach or Magen’s Bay.  I was a little disappointed.

This beach was better than Megan's Bay in my opinion.   I was the only person in the water.  I was there about 8 years ago.   I recall fairly strong waves coming in.   It is a stunning beach off the beaten path, rather had to find the dirt road leading into the area.   It was free at that time.  Sounds like they have upgraded since.   A must visit place.   My #1 beach and I have been to quite a few beaches in Mexico and Hawaii.

This is a beautiful beach, gorgeous. Water is crystal clear and pretty calm. It deepens fairly gradually. The shore is soft white sand. Not much natural shade in the middle of the beach, but the right side and left side (of the area where you can swim) has some taller trees that provide shade. The swimming part of the beach takes up about a third, the other 2/3rds has a seagrass bed & shallow rocky shelf all along the shore in the water (left side when facing the water). Not good for swimming but you can still walk along the shore, on the sand, and enjoy the view and keep an eye on the shallow seagrass for fish or even baby sharks - saw one swimming around. Just at the start of the rocky shelf you might see some juvenile fish while snorkeling, also saw a large school of squid - about 35 squid - pretty neat. There is also seagrass on the far right, but deeper seagrass beds so you can snorkel above them, saw some turtles in that area. The swimming area is sandy in the water - great for wading and enjoying a swim. Beautiful scenery. Just a few people on the beach in the earlier part of the morning and then maybe two dozen or so by late morning - it was a weekeday.
