Hello,

I am hoping that I can get some help here in planning my dream vacation. I plan on renting a car when I get to St. Thomas. I was wondering if I should use the bardge ferry for my day trip to St. John or better off renting another vehicle on St. John. I saw that the cost of the ferry ranges from $42 to $50. Also how long does it take to circle St Thomas and St John. I am trying to get a prespective on the size of the islands. I have read that there are a lot of steep winding roads.

I also want to do a day trip to the British Virgin Islands. I am intersted in snorkeling and spending time on a beautiful beach. We are on a budget so we can't spend $120 a person like I have seen for some of the trips. Does anyone know of any boat that will take us for less and any chance they don't drop you off at the baths in the water and make you swim. If I have to I will thou.

You have many great questions! Really, the best way for you to get your answers is to use the search button on top of the first page of this discussion board. Type in "Car Ferry", "BVI" or "Daytrip", etc. Make sure you set the time table to 90 days or more, and you should get many links to previously asked questions and the answers provided already. You'll have a great time!
