Got your cell number in my "File Folder 'o' Fun" and am anxiously awaiting getting on that plane Tuesday morning bright and early. It's 5:13 p.m., the last day of work before vay-kay, and time for a cocktail. Anyone who's reading: I'M BUYING THE COCKTAILS TONIGHT. Line 'em up! 😉

BiminiDr & CoCo

Texas...Just North of Galveston but we have family in California (LA and San Jose). We look forward to meeting you both at Woody's or Beach Bar. Don't steal all the island before we get there.

CoCo

So have you also been saying to yourself "...this time next week I'll be..."? I might as well phone in to work because nothing is getting done this week.

Coco & Chris,

We've begun the packing process, are dropping the doggie off at the dog-sitter, finishing those last loads of laundry and cleaning the house. Somehow it's easier to clean knowing that it won't get messy for 9 whole days! Then again, it's difficult to clean when one possesses the hangover or monumental proportions which I seem to have attained by beginning the vacation festivities a bit early...

When's Happy Hour again? I need a day of detox before I can partake!

Is Woody's kid-friendly? I have a 14 year old daughter and a 10 year old son to entertain... Will we constantly hear, "Can we go now?"

Don't worry about passports. Not needed if you have a certified birth certificate and photo id.

Hey Chris, I live in the DFW area. Been to Galveston. Love Port Aransas, try to go there every year. Going next month! Not as good as the islands, but it's the ocean. 🙂

"Getting work situated so when I come back there isnt chaos, cleaning the house, etc"

Coco, that's also what I do. It helps alleviate the post-vacation depression to come home to a clean house and organized office. So close for you now!

Bimini, for a 14 yr old, it should be fine. We bypassed it on this trip since the kids turned up their noses and it didn't look kid-friendly for our 9 yr old accomplices. For your 10 yr old, it's not that it's boring...it's just loud, crowded and full of 20-35 somethings who seem to be in groups. Seems hard to get a table, and kids don't want to stand up while they enjoy their shirley temples.

Bimini,
It should be fine. We go there everytime we go to STJ.. Besides your son can carry on with my son.. The 14 year old probably wont mind the eye candy that often pops on there, LMAO..

I am SO jealous!!! Weren't we there at the same time last year? You're going back and I don't even have a trip planned 🙁
Have a great time! I'll be here working on hubby for next April (I hope). In the meantime have a painkiller for me 🙂

Ccasebolt, we were there at the same time last year. I couldnt imagine not going to STJ every summer, I would be lost.
This time were staying in a villa at the Westin, usually we try to do something different as far as a place to stay. Unfortunately, this year we have a connecting flight in Charlotte. I could not find non-stop on the days we could fly.. I'll definately have a drink and many more for you!
