Just wanted to pass this on from American Airlines.

From Philadelphia to St. Thomas:

During the months of Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec. If you can fly mid-week, I found airfares of $231.69 with all the taxes that imposed on airline tickets. That's a really really good deal!

Maybe I'll take them up on it.

I just looked at the airfares, and it really is cheap. I am going to see what I can do for those months. Maybe try to go for 5 days.

Gari Ann...can you get cheap flights to Philly and go from there? It may be worth it.

Coco...i'm trying to talk my husband into jumping on those fares. Too good to pass up!

Oh definately! I would be foolish to pass those fares up leaving Philly.

Connie- Heck with the hubby leave him home, and lets get a few of us girls on here to go. LOL!

HI all,

I have Travelocity Fare Watcher and would suggest checking American Airlines out. They do have a number of special fares from 9/4/07 through November. Was able to book some sweet deals from STT to Florida & Seattle.

Also suggest Spirit.......they just finished a dynamo sale that was $17 one way for many locations.

Good luck!

Hi all,

American Airlines has a great deal going for travel between 9/4/07 and November. Already booked some trips to Florida and Seattle from STT. I use Travelzoo to keep me posted on fares as well as Travelocity Fare Watcher.

Spirit just finished a dynamo sale for $17 & up one way for a variety of locations.

Good luck!

Connie,
What is up with husbands? Mine would be the same way. Not real excited when I mention it, but OK if I told him I booked it! I would be bouncing off the walls just thinking about booking it!

Connie:

Thanks for the heads up.

I found a great special from Newark for Oct, Nov, (Part of) Dec.

Mid week fares are $95. each way...weekends are $120. each way plus taxes/fees ($56.70).

It gets even better.....Use the Entertainment Book and get an additional 5% discount.....$90.25 each way (mid week) and $109.25 each way (week ends).

Total round trip: $236.20 Mid Week and $275.20 for Week Ends.

We booked for October.

Is this the entertainment book that kids sell for their schools, which has coupons for restaurants and such? Is the coupon specifically for a particular airline?

GAIT:

Yes.

You need to register your book first.....online....using your membership card...it's easy.

Get your discount promotion code for American Airlines (follow the instructions).

Then go to www.entertainment.com/aa

Put in your requested reservation and promotion code.

As long as your (round trip) airfare is greater than $150. you'll get 5% off.

We got $23.00 off total for two people. This savings almost paid for the book ($30.)...of course we've also used the book for restaurants, dry cleaning, etc.

I know the $23. isn't much....but it's lunch at Fungi's.

gari-ann,
Glad to see the "porch party" thing catch on! It really is alot of fun. I want to know how the bag of water helps keep insects away. I'm seriously going to try the gin thing tho!
