Not sure if I am breaking board rules or not, but I wanted to bring special attention to a special lady. Anna at the Toad and Tart has been hosting, free of charge all of the stray, ferral and unwanted pets for just about her entire life on island and according to her that is quite a long time.
What prompted me to start this post ashames me. Why didn't I do this sooner? My 10 year old daughter asked first when we would see Anna's kittens. She donated all of her can collection last year and hadn't seen what sort of zoo Anna has at the moment.
We will be in town next week, Josie included.
Anna, I just want to praise the woman that you are, you can give me s%$t later. for all of you animal lovers please look Anna up, she is the best!
I was lucky enough to meet Anna and her babies in November. They are all so well taken care of and friendly. I definetly wanted to take one home but I know she would never give her up!!
Anna, I am starting orientation at our local SPCA this Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it, but it's also going to be a hard thing to do. Seeing all those poor dogs, cats, bunnies 🙁 At least, they are a new kill shelter. Just makes me sad to see cats in cages that have been there since last summer.
