Does anyone know if bareboat rental rates are typically negotiable? Thanks in advance.

They are usually set rates by companies that have the yachts in service tho they may be privately owned by individuals.

Yes.

We just returned from a bareboat trip and were successful negotiating a reduced price.

However, it was a "last minute" reservation, we are repeat guests with the rental firm, and our schedule and boat size were very flexible.

We get a guest loyalty discount and a seasonal booking discount at the time of the Annapolis boat show. If you're willing to book last minute you can negotiate. Another option is to go to a third-tier fleet, like Conch on Tortola, and book an older boat and ask for discount. CYOA and Island Yachts charter newer boats.

We did the same 3 years ago......Annapolis Boat Show discount from Voyages Charters in West End, Tortola. We had a 44 foot Cat with 4 cabins & heads. Nice boat!
