We are planning a visit to St John this spring and would like to visit the baths on Virgin Gorda. Are there any ferrys that would take us there? If not would anyone recommend a day trip that includes a stop there.

Thanks

We just took a trip with New Horizons II (newhorizonscharter.com) last Monday and the first stop was the Baths. I would highly recommend this group. You would also visit 3 other islands.

Thanks for the info. One more question. Does the New Horizons trip spend alot of time in open water that might be a little rough. The reason I ask is that I am very prone to sea sickness. For that reason I usually prefer snorkeling from the shore. But if the time in open sea is limited or if is is a fast motor boat that skims over the waves I do OK. Thanks again.

When you are at the Baths be sure to go up the trail to the top-there is a little restaurant there with a freshwater pool-it is fun to stand in the pool with a "refreshing" frozen drink.

New Horizons is a fast boat. I too get seasick, but I took a dramamine before the trip and had absolutely no problem with any nausea or motion sickness.

Thanks for the help. A few more questions if you don't mind.

We have a 5 year old boy or at least he will be by the trip. Do you think that this trip is apropriate for kids that age? He's comfortable in the water so that is not a problem.

Does this trip leave from St Thomas, St John or both? I couldn't tell from the web page.

Also, does anyone know of any similar trips that are a little less expensive?

Thanks again

Hello Dale,

There is a St. John - Virgin Gorda ferry... check out ferry schedule page for details;
https://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/interisland_ferry/

You would then have to take a taxi to the Baths and back. New Horizons is a great choice for a day trip!!

The Limnos trip is probably the most reasonable- big, wide comfortable boat- I believe they pick up in St John after they leave the base in St Thomas...

Hi Dale, We went on New Horizons 2 a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. One couple brought their 3 yr old on the trip and she had a blast. The crew that day, John and Katie couldn't have been nicer. I think you all will have a great time

They leave from Sapphire marina and stop in Cruz bay.

Thanks,

I don't know if that is the same company but if you go to their web site they show a sail boat. The one we are talking about is a power yacht.

Dale, Same company but you found the direct link to NH2. Nice job, I've been looking for it for a couple of weeks.
Thanks,
Bill
