We're camping in Cinnamon Bay campground for two weeks. Beach chairs there rent for $7/day. Does anyone have a suggestion where to purchase inexpensive sand chairs in Cruz Bay?

I know if you can do a brief stop at the big Kmart in STT they *usually* have a good selection.

I know it sounds stupid, but this is "off-season" for outdoor furniture etc.

I tried to buy a beach chair at both St. Thomas K-Marts last August, and all I found at either was one that was much more expensive than I wanted to pay for a two week visit and then leave behind. I figured August would be a great time to get a beach chair.

St John Hardware has them around $35 each (I think) - they are located in the Marketplace where you will find Starfish our largest grocery store 🙂

Summer stuff just coming out again. Just bought the last 6 beach chairs they had! Hoping they get more SOON!
As we all know, things don't last in the stores very long. Gotto get it when you see it or you simply go without!

Sherri, I guess they have to get rid of all the snow and ice removal supplies to make room for the warm weather stuff....

Can ya tell I'm sick of it already?

LOL Gerie! Ya would think they would keep that area open year round, but they don't. Gotto make room for Christmas in July! lol!~
No beach chairs sold elsewhere that I know of.

Kmart in STT near Tutu has a great selection of beach chairs and lounges. Home Depot nearby will carry them as well. Just cleared out all the Christmas stuff. Like stateside, August is the end of summer and the stores are preparing for fall and holidays. Not sure when you are coming down but Spring is the better time to make this purchase here.

As it turns out, St. John Spice Company right at the ferry dock in Cruz Bay sells them for $20. Then you can post them for sale for the day you leave on the bulletin board at Cinnamon Bay Campground and get some of your money back and make new arrivals happy.

Just was over at St. John Hardware yesterday (4/28/10), $45 for the chairs they have now. Chelsea Drug Store also usually carries them but I didn't check their prices. Both of these stores are on the second level of the Marketplace.
