vicki - you have to help us

Which island are you coming to?

Sounds like you have a cake and eat it day planned

Arrival & departure time may also help

I assume that you are coming to STT and that the ship will dock in Havensight. If that is the case you will have two choices for shopping. Havensight or town. Town is about a 30 min wakl where havensight is right at the docks. The shops are about the same. It just depends if you what the feel of the old Carribean.

Go to Sapphire Beach. It is the best all around.

Most of the Cruise Ship passengers I come into contact with choose to go to Lindberg Bay, Emerald Beach right by the airport. The Beachcomber Hotel has a bar RIGHT ON THE BEACH, a great lunch menu and and you go right past town from Havensight to get there, so shopping is cool as well. Alot of locals hang out there, it's a great place.

Hello Vicki,

Royal Caribbean ships usually dock in Havensight on St. Thomas; there is shopping right there at the Havensight Shopping Center, Port of Sale and Yacht Haven Grande.

Not sure what you mean by entertainment. If you mean things to do like water sports then yes there are beaches with water sports; but if you mean live music then no luck there with the exception of Sunday afternoons at Sapphire when there is a live band. So, nice beaches with chairs for rent, food/drink and water sports: the closest to Havensight would be Morningstar, popular choices with cruise folks include Sapphire and Magens - depending on number of ships in port they can get crowded, also can consider Cowpet. Click on the St. Thomas button at the top of this page and then choose the beach guide; description and photos of beaches are available and you can check the choices.

I'm going to chime in here and recommend "Coki Point" because of the snorkeling. There are plenty of places to get a drink & the food isn't bad either. Warning though : No bathrooms that we could see.

It's my all time favorite beach - hands down.

Have a wonderful trip

Jen

They do have a port-a-potty at Coki, although you have to pay the vendor a $1. I'm not sure why they have the main facility locked up.

The main bathrooms were open in November, with no fee, but believe me, for ladies, they're not that great. At least they have them.
