We will be on St. John this weekend. Any restaurants/bars with bigscreen HDTV's to watch the game? Thanks!

Skinny Legs is a red sox nation bar, so I'd think that Pats fans would be warmly welcomed.

If you're a Colts fan I'd fly under the radar if you're going to watch it at Skinny Legs. It's definitely a Patriots establishment. Also, get there at least an hour or more before kickoff if you want a place to sit down.

I watch my weekend sports at the Quiet Mon Pub in Cruz Bay. They will have the Pats/Colts game on with sound and they have one TV with HD and the other one is big but not HD. 4 tvs total. It is not a bar based on sports at all but on big games and on Sundays they rally around it. They have squares too.

It is where we all watched the Red Sox run over the last few weeks. The island generally supports New England sports teams.

Go BC!

Thanks for the tip! We are originally from the Boston area and my husband has been pestering me about missing his Sunday game. We've been out to Skinny Legs on a past trip but won't have a car to make it for the 11/4 game. Now I know where we'll be heading-Quiet Mon's bar!

See you there!

Hell you don't need a car to go to Skinny's for the game, catch the bus out there for a buck and hitch a ride back to town from someone out there watching the game. Moe has put in a couple Plasma TV's in the past year and made alot of changes. Skinny's has definitely changed since Doug died, but it's STILL Skinny's. And Mo is also from Boston or close by there, he's a HARD CORE Pats fan.

Just curious...

I was reading some old threads and ran across this one. I've noticed that St. John has a strong connection to the Boston area, but never really understood why. On one of my first trips to St. John, I stopped off at a place called Pepe's for lunch (now Island Blues), and found myself surrounded by Sox and Celtic memorabilia on the walls. I then went to Skinny Legs for dinner, where I found more Boston memorabilia and the Sox on TV. Both spots were filled with other Boston sports fans. The Coral Bay area seemed more like South Boston.

Is it just that lots of weather weary New Englanders have transplanted down to St. John? That sounds like a pretty good plan to me.

You've said something that i don't think has ever been said before by anyone anywhere:

"The Coral Bay area seemed more like South Boston"

Hopefully I don't bump into Whitey Bulger at Salt Pond beach...

Well they desire their dew. Who knew they were a football team until the Cowboys Fell?
And that would not have happened unless the Okkie Jerry did not buy the team.
Oh, the dick also fired Tom Landry and told the news first.
