Can any one give us advice on where to get fresh seafood, fish and shrimp, in St. John's during June?

Yes, The Fish Trap Seafood Market, 2 minute walk from the Cruz Bay Dock.

Look for the local fishermen outside of Narures Nook - they will have a large white cooler and a machete on a piece of wood sitting on top. If you don't see anyone around just go over and stand at the cooler and someone will call him - Ash has been there almost everyday
