Headed down to St. John for 11 days in 45 days (already counting). Should we rent a Jeep Rangler 4x4 or something else? There are 4 adults in our group and from looking at the Taxi rates, it would be cheaper to get a rental car. What is the best place to rent the wrangler? The lowest price I can find is $613 (Budget Rent-a-car) for the 10 days we are going to be there. Any place cheaper. I was going to rent on STT and ferry over to STJ, is this wise? Thanks for your help.

Your pictures were fantastic! That sunset is calling us. We are down to 15 days and counting. We couldn't book SH for the entire week - so, we will be staying at the Best Western Emerald Beach for our first 3 nights.
Plans are first nite (Sat.) Bushwackers at Paradise Point at sunset. Sunday, Megan's Bay - was thinking of maybe the Sapphire Beach Party, too - but, not sure. We have dinner reservations for Mafolie Restaurant at sunset.
Monday a day sail to St. John for a beach stop at Honeymoon Beach and snorkeling off of St. James Island with New Horizons.
Tuesday we get to change hotels and we are planning to enjoy SH beach & check out the snorkeling. We won't bore you with the rest of our details - but, thank you for the great insight about the music at the resort. We know we will enjoy it, too.
You had a beautiful view from your room. I called SH a couple of weeks ago to request building number 2 based on other photos we had seen - we'll see what we end up with. No doubt we will be happy no matter where they put us.
Can't wait to have breakfast each morning overlooking that beautiful water. What a way to start the day!
It certainly looked like you and your family had a wonderful time -I saw a lot of smiles!!
Thank you, again!

Thanks - glad I could help like others did for me on this board.

SH view may actually be better from 2nd or 3rd floors and also you have the advantage of being able to sleep with only screen doors closed so you can hear sound of water better, but hardly no surf so it is a only a very gentle sound anyway.

BUT being on ground floor at same level of and 30 ft from beach is MIGHTY convienent for fetching drinks, ice, more sunscreen, camera, another book, etc.

Heres wishing you great sunsets, lots of fish, and at least one sea turtle.

Forgot to mention that the Breakfast Burritto rules at Blue Moon and the cheesburger for lunch or off bar menu at night is the best one I've had in a long time. Fries good too. Enjoy.

Thanx, again, for the tips! Our mouths are watering.

We are now 13 days and counting. Can't believe how quickly it is now coming up.

Reading this sight everyday sure does increase the anticipation!

Thank you, again - for your kind thoughts and wishes!
