Hello,

I am currently trying to plan my wedding/honeymoon on St. Thomas. I have a coordinator and all of that is taken care of but I need recommendations on where to stay. The wyndham is out of the question as they have just raised their prices for 2003 to an astrinomical rate after promising me that the increase would be no more than 8% and trying to get a credit card number out of (pretty shady). I was looking at point pleasant but heard trhough the grapevine that it isn't all that nice. What do you recommend. My limit is about 250-300 per night. Thanks!

Hi There,

Be sure to take into consideration when comparing prices for the Wyndham with other places on STT that the Wyndham price includes food, drink and watersports while the rates for most other resorts on STT will only include the room. The Wyndham is the only 'real' all-inclusive on STT.

If you want to be on the beach look into Morningstar, Sapphire Beach, Secret Harbour or Bolongo. If you don't mind a short trip to the beach try Polls & Pavilions (lots of honeymooners like it because of the private plunge pools) or if you don't mind a marginal beach you can always check out the Ren.

I just got a rate of $1245 a person for a double, luxury room ocean view, for 7 nights .I use the web site http://www.changes.com for next July.

they also are in the entertainment book. so you could ask for that rate which is 50% off the rack rate. although changes still bat that price!
