There are the Bluebeard's Castle villas located above town and the Bluebeard's Beach Club Resort and Villas located beachfront on Lime Tree beach. Which one?

I'm not familiar with Net10 but ATT is the biggest carrier here and their go-phones work just fine.

You might want to stay at a property that you would consider buying. This way you'll have some insight into a property. We did that 10 years ago and bought in the resort where we stayed.

You will want to rent a car if you are going to be looking around the island to buy or rent.
You can walk to town from Bluebeard's Castle but if you need to grocery shop, head to the beach, see the island, check out different locations, you'll need a car. Taking a taxi adds up quickly and you are on their schedule. If you do rent a car, make sure they let you take it to St. John on the car barge. The majority of my vacation rental guests use either Dependable or Budget which does allow it.
Hertz doesn't and Discount told my guests they didn't either.
