Budget rental car...and auto ferry

Does anyone know if there are restrictions on bringing rental cars onto Ferry's. Had heard a rumor that some companies don't let you ferry their cars to St. Johns. Know if Budget restricts this?

Hertz will not allow their cars to leave the island. Budget will but you may be responsible for getting the car back if there are any problems. Check with them and see.

Budget and Dependable Car Rental allow their vehicles on the barge to STJ. Hertz does not. Not sure about others. As beachboy mentioned, best to check their policies.
