Has anyone booked a villa through this company. They indicate that they have local SJ presence, but the check is to be mailed to an address in Maryland.

Also, has anyone stayed at the Ciellodonna - It is located near Chocolate Hole.

First time visitor and any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi
They are my prefered company to book through I think it's been 6 times now and haven't had any problems yet. Always been quick to act to any concerns I've had.

That's the company you're talking about, right?

I've rented from them a couple times and they definitely have an island presence. Their office is easy to get to in the middle of Cruz Bay. I've been happy with them every time I've rented from them.

We rented through Caribean Villas over Christmas and were very happy with them. I too was concerned since the reservation office was in Maine, but their on-island office was terrific. We had some maintenance issues (minor) at Orchid Villa and they responded very quickly and fixed everything. We will use them again.

Hi Waterguy,

Since you stayed at Cygnus, I'm wondering if you are familiar with La Miramar. It is also a waterfront, Chocolate Hole villa. I think it is across the bay from Cygnus, but it is also directly on the water. They told us the entry into the water is very rocky, but can be done. I've never stayed in Chocolate Hole. Can you walk (or swim) to a sandy beach. I realize it is not a great beach, but I'm wondering if it is adequate for those in our party who want to be on a beach at sunrise, while others might want to sleep in a bit.

I too have used Caribbean Villas. As a matter of fact a manage a travel agency and have no hesitation recommending them to our clients.

The last time we rented from Caribbean Villas I asked the local representative who brought us to the villa we were renting, which of their villas were is favorite. Ciellodonna was in the top 3.

Hi
It is rocky in front of La Miramar you could get into the water there won't be easy the Snorkleing is great in front of it . You could swim to the beach at the head of the bay. Cygnus has its own private sand beach that it shares with the house nex door. No matter where you stay I'm sure you will have a great time. I have ssome pistures of that villa from Cygnus the are pretty far away but if you want to see them I could email them to you. I like staying in the Chocolate Hole area its so convenent close to Cruz bay far enough away to be quiet and you can catch centerline rd with out having to go through town.

Thanks for the info. I'd love to see pictures if it's not too much trouble.

We rented Ciellodonna in Jan. 05 thruough Island Hideaways, but Caribbean Villas was the agency that we actually dealt with on the island. They were very helpful and were available. We posted a review on Virgin Island on Line. The villa was very nice, would rent it again in a minute.
